Focus 4 Africa is working in alliance with Aids Orphans and Street Children www.aidsorphans.org to raise national awareness to the plight of Aids Orphans in Africa. Areas in Sub-Saharan Africa are the most heavily affected than any other region of the world. Current estimates show that the number of HIV/AIDS orphans will grow from 14 million to 20 million orphans by 2010. Children who have lost at least one parent to the disease are considered orphans because the remaining parent is often unable to provide for the child.
